La Catrina Bar & Grill was started by a passionate team with over 15 years of experience in the culinary industry. We’re proud to bring our culture here. Guelaguetza, a vibrant and colorful celebration, honors one of the most vibrant traditions of Oaxaca, Mexico—a celebration that began more than 3,000 years ago to pay tribute to the corn goddess. In the Zapotec language, “Guelaguetza” means “offering” or “gift,” reflecting both the cultural richness of our heritage and the spirit we bring to every dish. Every July, traditional dances, music and food showcase the unique customs of Oaxaca’s eight regions.

We may be new to the Davenport area, but we already feel at home.
